Watered the garden, back trees, pots & hanging baskets. It was 100 degrees & the heat index hit 120 degrees.

Sliced the sourdough bread & gave it to our grandson to take home after he fed the cattle. It was a big loaf, weighing in at 5 pounds 2 ounces, LOL!!!

I went to the nearest social security office, which is in Brenham (160 mile round trip), to simply change the bank that my direct deposit is sent to. I waited over an hour for my number to get called... all because their online program doesn't work worth a crap. The federal government sucks. Grrrrrr!

'Hotter-than-hell week' continues, the temperature is 102 degrees with a heat index of 118 degrees.

Yesterday I cut the grass & got a pot of pinto beans seasoned up/soaking. I also harvested japs & stuffed some of them.

Today I finished making the pinto beans.

Fed the cattle.

Put up 2 more hummingbird feeders as they are starting to trickle in.

Watered the pots & hanging baskets.

Cleaned the mineral deposits off of another 3 of the greenhouse tables & then started painting them. I ordered another 12 cans of paint, which should be enough to finish this project.
