Yesterday: I was finally able to finish painting the 'burn barrel' & return it to service.

Clean/vacuum packed the chicken breasts.

Refilled the water-softener salt in the well house.

Watered the porch pots, hanging baskets & the stuff in the greenhouse.

Cold and windy here also. Nursing my little dog right now. He has a little stomach issue that kept us up most of the night. I got him to eat some pumpkin with so probiotics on it this morning. He is resting a little better.

It was 29 degrees this morning, so everything I had planted in the pots & planters is toast. Grrrr!!!

Picked up a load of feed, did the weekly shopping & topped off my fuel tank. Prices of everything have jumped over the last 8 days... Diesel was up to $4.90 & cattle feed was up to $13.50 a sack!!!

Watered the porch pots in preparation for replanting.

Watered the trees & stuff in the greenhouse.

Ordered 14 yds. of garden soil.

Started making 1.75L of homemade vanilla extract (I'm still waiting on the 2nd bag of beans which should have arrived last Saturday). This has been on my bucket list for a good while...

Made stuffed jalapenos.

Made a half gallon of buttermilk ranch dressing.

Finally finished making the vanilla extracts. We now have 70 ounces of thriple-fold vanilla and 8 ounces each of blueberry/vanilla & cherry/vanilla. Now it is just a matter of time...

The 'lost' package of vanilla beans from 2 weeks ago finally showed up, so I used them to make 16 oz of 2-fold bourbon vanilla extract.

Went to town to refill my Jeep & the ranch gas containers before the price goes up again.
