Took the truck in to get the state inspection, oil/lube & the new tires put on it. I'll have to bring it back on Monday to mount the new spare tire too.

Watered the garden & stuff in the greenhouse.

We still have to pay the money, which is just a blatant money grab, LOL!!! They don't even try to hide the fact that "you have money & we want it" anymore. Just bend over...

The Legislature repealed provisions in state law that mandate annual vehicle inspections. However, the $7.50 fee remains intact under a new name: the inspection program replacement fee.

The 17 Texas counties that require emissions inspections will still mandate annual tests regardless of the bill becoming law. These are Brazoria, Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, El Paso, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Johnson, Kaufman, Montgomery, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant, Travis and Williamson counties.

Cut the grass ahead of the forecasted rain.

Stoked up the stump barrels behind the garden again.

Watered the porch pots, garden & stuff in the greenhouse.

Made a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for our desserts.

A friend came this morning to replace 3 of the old PVC valves (irrigation system) that were leaking with my new brass ones.

Seasoned up a 9 pound pork shoulder for Mexican pulled pork for our supper. I'll make ranch rice to go along with it.

Watered the stuff in the greenhouse & moved the hanging baskets to under the eaves to get watered when it rains.

Been fighting the allergy crap since last Tuesday. Finally went to the dr and got some meds yesterday after my stubbornness wore off. Worked from home yesterday and today.
installed another hive of bees on Friday and checked on everyone today. All look good.
Rained 2.5 inches here this week so I haven’t had to run the irrigation system on the garden. Plants seem to be off to a somewhat slow start but they’re picking up.

Made a pot of Mexican pinto beans to go with our suppers.

Replanted 7 tomato plants (from my spares) that the gophers got, then tied up the new growth.

Watered the garden & stuff in the greenhouse.

Replanted another 7 tomato plants (next row over) that the gophers also got, then tied up that row.

Watered the spare plants in the greenhouse.

Stoked up the stump barrels again.

Started the 'beginning-of-the-month' chores.
