Bought some more fruit trees; pear, peach, fig and lime.Had a truck load of garden soil delivered.
Like the doors Ranch.I'm calling the Window folks Friday.Cold (39 degrees), windy & rainy here... even Dieter says it sucks. Mrs. Ranch is making a pot of chili for supper.
I picked out the new security doors, so I'll get them ordered in a couple of weeks. They are heavy (500+ lbs. each).

Hope all goes well with the operation.Watered the seed flats in greenhouse, some of them are starting to pop up!!!
Harvested some asparagus.
Took Mrs. Ranch to the hospital to pre-register for her eye operation & then we did the weekly shopping together.
Made a buttermilk pie.
Harvested a 5 gallon bucket of broccoli, half for us & the other half for our mail lady. Mrs. Ranch made broccoli salad for tonight.
Replaced 5 hose bib faucets on the irrigation system (a couple were starting to drip). These are 'quarter-turns' & have S.S. internals.
Could you explain your process and what you use [jars etc.] Thanks..New batch of kraut is a week old today. I like to check after 3 weeks.

Sure. It really couldn't be simpler. Shredded cabbage and salt are the ingredients. 1-3/4 lbs. of cabbage to 1 tablespoon of salt = 1quart jar. I've used Himalayan Pink, kosher, and canning/pickling. Just remember to adjust if you're using a coarse salt.Could you explain your process and what you use [jars etc.] Thanks..
